Humanoid robotics promises to solve many of the problems currently facing industrial companies—from addressing the shortage of skilled workers to performing monotonous, non-value-added tasks and maintaining 24/7 operations.

But what can humanoid robots actually accomplish in an industrial setting today? The Humanoid Robots Experience Lab, which the Fraunhofer IOSB has opened at three locations, is exploring this very question. The Fraunhofer IOSB-INA in Lemgo focuses on manufacturing and logistics applications as part of the SmartFactoryOWL initiative.

During the event, the director of the Humanoid Robots Experience Lab in Lemgo—Prof. Dr. Klaus Neumann—will present the possibilities of humanoid robotics. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience and discuss its applications in industrial settings during a lab tour.
